Luke Parsons
Luke Parsons is a partner, senior vice president, and national private equity and venture capital practice leader at Woodruff Sawyer, one of the largest privately held and independently operated insurance brokerage and consulting firms in the United States. He serves private equity firms, family offices, and alternative asset managers and their portfolio companies as they seek to invest in or acquire platform and add-on transactions. He has worked on over 2,500 middle market transactions across industry sectors, including health care and life sciences, technology and business services, consumer brands and retail, and specialty/industrial and niche manufacturing.
In addition to serving as the lead partner in charge for his venture capital and private equity fund-level clients, Parsons also leads the core team of due diligence, transactional risk, and post-close insurance brokerage services for his clients. Risk & Insurance Magazine named him a Power Broker and Rising Star in the merger-and-acquisition space in 2020 and 2021. He is also a designated associate in risk management (ARM). Before joining Woodruff Sawyer in 2014, he worked for Equity Risk Partners and Travelers Global Technology.
Parsons received a B.A. in leadership studies, with minors in business administration and Spanish, from University of Richmond in 2010 and his MBA from Babson F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business in 2014. He lives in the San Francisco Bay Area with his wife, Carly, also University of Richmond Class of 2010, and their three children.
