The Study of Ethics

The study of leadership ethics is foundational to the Jepson School curriculum, and all students are required to take the capstone course, Leadership Ethics. Developing the ability to identify and respond to ethical problems of leadership should be part of every student’s education, especially those who aspire to positions of leadership.

A number of Jepson faculty members have professional interests in the field of leadership ethics. The Zuzana Simoniova Cmelikova Visiting Scholar Program in Leadership and Ethics provides an opportunity for international scholars to develop courses, design programs, and conduct research on the topics of leadership and ethics.

Thanks to the generosity of Chancellor Richard L. Morrill, the Jepson School in 2019 unveiled the Ethics Suite, a space in Jepson Hall dedicated to the study of leadership ethics. Additional funding for leadership ethics initiatives is provided by The Richard Davoud Donchian Foundation.
