Annie Bezbatchenko

Annie W. Bezbatchenko, ’04, is a senior program officer at The Teagle Foundation, a philanthropic organization that supports liberal education. She has been involved with the foundation since 2011 and in her current role since 2021. Previously, she consulted with Storbeck Search and the Ford Foundation. She has taught at New York University, Baruch College, and Sheridan College in Ontario. Her work has been published in Change Magazine, Inside Higher Ed, and The Hechinger Report.
In addition to serving on the Jepson School Executive Board of Advisors, Bezbatchenko serves on the Ohio Humanities Board of Trustees. She holds a doctorate from New York University and a master’s from the University of Pennsylvania, both in higher education, and a bachelor’s in leadership studies from the Jepson School of Leadership Studies at the University of Richmond (Phi Beta Kappa). A native of Wayne, Pennsylvania, she lives in Bournemouth, England, with her husband, Tim Bezbatchenko, ’04, and their children, Jack and Sarah.
