From the Dean
What a rollercoaster ride the last few months have been! None of us could have anticipated the way the coronavirus pandemic has transformed our nation, University, and School. Yet the leadership that has welled up from our Jepson family surely comes as no surprise to any of us.
In this latest edition of the Jepson Update, you’ll read about some of our alumni who are leading the fight against COVID-19 and our faculty experts’ insights on the pandemic.
Our students, too, continue to distinguish themselves as leaders at the School and beyond. Their grace and adaptability under difficult circumstances have been remarkable. Be sure to click on our virtual Finale 2020 in this newsletter to learn about our accomplished Class of 2020, including Dan Mahoney, recipient of the University Mace Award for outstanding student; Eliana Fleischer, recipient of the James MacGregor Burns Award (the School's top honor); and Taylor Hoogsteden and Lina Tori Jan, who received full scholarships through the Jepson Scholars Program to pursue master's degrees at the University of Oxford.
I am excited and inspired by the ways in which our community of leaders has rallied together during these challenging times. And I am forever grateful for the many ways you give back to the School through your time, talents, and monetary donations. Your support of the School during UR Here Giving Day on May 27 - 28 will ensure we can continue to offer the unique, exceptional educational experience for which we have become known.
Together, we are making a difference.
Sincerely,
Sandra J. Peart
