Prelude 2022
Prelude is the annual induction ceremony for students newly admitted to the Jepson School of Leadership Studies. On Nov. 2, 2022, the School welcomed 99 sophomores and 3 juniors to its ranks.
This group of students represents one of the largest, most academically exceptional, diverse classes admitted to the School. Among the recent inductees are 13 Science Leadership Scholars, 22 Division 1 or club athletes, and nine students involved in the University of Richmond's thriving arts community.
The latest inductees conduct faculty-mentored research, hold executive positions in student organizations and government, volunteer, and engage in entrepreneurial ventures. With an average GPA of 3.63, these students serve as Bonner Scholars, orientation aides, peer-advising mentors, Greek officers, honor or judicial council representatives, student government members, mock trial participants, resident assistants, and student admissions representatives.
The Jepson School is a special place in that it brings a multi-disciplinary approach to the study of leadership, while providing a close-knit, supportive academic community. The administration, faculty, and staff extend a warm welcome to our newest leadership studies students.
