Public Servants Discuss Power and Leadership

October 23, 2006

This event grew from a research project conducted by Jepson students in their fall, 2006 Theories and Models of Leadership class. The students examined leadership, power and influence through interviews with people selected to the annual Power List published by Richmond-based news weekly Style Weekly. In so doing they applied the relatively theoretical concepts examined in classes to the real world of the Richmond community. They then shared their impressions and research by staging a panel discussion on leadership and power.

The class is taught by Colonel Leo K. and Gaylee Thorsness Chair in Ethical Leadership Dr. J. Donelson R. Forsyth.

The Richmond Times-Dispatch published an article on this event on October 24, 2006.
