Higher Ed Leaders Share Insights on 'Organized Anarchy'

The Jepson School of Leadership Studies will honor former dean Kenneth P. Ruscio with a portrait unveiling and program on the challenges of college presidential leadership. Ruscio was inaugurated as president of
Washington & Lee University this fall. The session will take place Monday, Nov. 13, 4 to 5:30 p.m., in Jepson Hall, Room 118.
“Organized Anarchy: Challenges of Leading Academic Communities” will feature speakers who have held key positions at the University of Richmond and later served as college presidents. Chancellor Richard Morrill, who is writing a book about leadership in higher education, will moderate the discussion. In addition to Ruscio, discussants will include:
- Charles Glassick, who served as president at Gettysburg College and as an interim president at three institutions of higher learning and was provost at UR;

Thomas Morris, Secretary of Education of the Commonwealth, former president of Emory and Henry College and a former professor of political science at the university;

John Roush, president of Centre College who served as executive assistant to the president of UR.
Immediately following the presentation, University of Richmond President
