"Justice and Civil Society" students are encouraged to
seek outside resources to enhance their classroom and
service-learning experiences. The Jepson faculty has
collaborated to compile a list of useful web resources
for students interested in learning more about civic
engagement and issues they may be addressing in class.
Local Resources
Center for Civic Engagement
helps students take their service learning into
the greater Richmond community, offers grants and summer
fellowships, and brings in weekly speakers with a wide
range of expertise.
Connect Richmond
collects reports and data on local, state and national
organizations and serves as an information clearinghouse for
metro Richmond
nonprofit organizations and offers an email list, a job
finder, and a volunteer opportunity search engine.

Engage and
Generation Engage Virginia are youth
civic-engagement initiatives.
