Dean's Updates

Jepson Update • Winter 2017

January arrives with renewed energy and enthusiasm for our investigation into the processes of leadership. This spring, we’ll welcome alumni back to campus for the annual Jepson EDGE Institute; share in thoughtful conversations with visitors, including bestselling author Isabel Wilkerson and Leader-in-Residence Dr. Ken Ruscio; host the second meeting of our Jepson School Executive Board of Advisors; and celebrate student scholarship at the Jepson Research Symposium. In my role as Interim Provost, I will learn a great deal about the overall operations of the University and the special place that the Jepson School holds within it. As we look forward to the School's 25th anniversary in 2017–18, we’ll honor our past and look to the future to grow and strengthen our study of leadership and ethics. Stay tuned for information about events and opportunities to get involved!

Finally, I hope you'll take a moment to review Dr. Crutcher's response to the recent executive order issued by President Trump that targets refugees and immigrants from seven countries in Africa and the Middle East. The Jepson School stands with the rest of our University family in its commitment to supporting affected members of our community.

Wishing you strength and wisdom in the new year,

Sandra J. Peart
