Reconnect with Your Former Professors and Classmates at These Upcoming Events

Whether you're seeking intellectual stimulation or social interaction, you'll find it at Jepson at some of these upcoming events.

The Forum: This year the Jepson Leadership Forum examines the intersection of science, society and leadership in a series of thought-provoking discussions on topics including evolution, the environment, bioethics and the robotics revolution. Some 75 alumni attended the Oct. 10 multi-media presentation with biologist Sean Carroll and enjoyed being seated together in a VIP section and sharing some conversation at the coffee bar and book signing reception after the lecture. The next Forum event features a faculty-led discussion after a free screening of the highly publicized film "An Inconvenient Truth" at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 18, at the University's Camp Concert Hall. Those interested in alumni functions related to the Forum, should email jepson@richmond.edu or call Sue Robinson at 287-6627. Details about the Forum line-up

Dynamic Leaders of Richmond: A Conversation with People Who Influence Our City: John Donelson Forsyth and his students, who have been studying leadership in metro Richmond, will lead an interactive presentation and discussion based on their research on Monday, Oct. 23, at 4 p.m. in the Jepson Alumni Center. Several individuals identified by the publication Style Weekly as among the most influential (powerful) people in metro Richmond will participate as panelists. A beer-and-wine reception will follow. Alumni are invited to attend the event and bring colleagues or guests. For additional information, call Sue Robinson at 287-6627. Seating is limited. To reserve seats, email Jepson@richmond.edu or RSVP to /rsvp/PowerList.htm.

Homecoming: Jepson alumni and friends are invited to join Jepson faculty, staff and students for a pre-tailgate, “mocktail” party on Saturday, Oct. 28, from 10:30 a.m.12 p.m., in the Heilig Meyers Lounge, Jepson Hall. This is a great chance to get reacquainted with old friends and catch up on Jepson School news. Admission is free. Please RSVP to Sue Murphy (smurphy@richmond.edu) by October 20 if you can attend. Make plans to attend the many other Homecoming festivities as well. Details
